Levels of Play (Sport)

I have noticed that when women want to join an active group, whether it be a softball group or a volleyball group, they usually ask a few questions before they decide to give it a try.  One of the main questions I get is, 'How competitive is it?' Well, there are various groups with various levels of experience so I decided that a rating system is very important for women to find the right group.  

The other question I get is 'Are they friendly?'  Among the LDS community, it is expected that we provide an atmosphere of welcoming and good sportsmanship.  As you follow the rating system and come with a friendly attitude, you will build some great friendships and become an Active Neighbor.

The following rating system is for activities in the category of sports:

Years of experience
Beginner
Never played
none

Played a few times or in junior high


Don't know the rules

Intermediate
Played in high school but haven't played in years
1 year or more

Have played for up to a year in other groups


Have a basic knowledge of the rules

Competitive
Played in college
2 years or more

Play in a competitive league or club


Know the rules
